Ministries

Adult Education
This ministry provides ways to deepen your understanding of the Bible and the Christian faith and seeks to help you draw closer to our Lord Jesus.  Everyone is invited and encouraged to participate in the various offerings during the year.  It’s also a great way to get to know others in our fellowship as we seek to live out God’s will for our lives.

To be a part of the team to review various educational offerings, contact Christine Gruner at 508-520-0675 or email cmgruner@verizon.net.

Altar Guild
The Altar Guild sets up the altar for Sunday worship services.  It is a beautiful way to serve the Lord as we come together to worship Him.  Training is provided for those who are interested.

For more information or to join this important ministry, contact Oliver Gruner at 508-520-0675 or email oliver@iconics.com.

Counters
This is an important group that’s needed to care for the church in a financial way.  Counters give an hour of their time after the service on a rotating basis to separate the money, accounting for the weekly collection as either loose plate, pledge, coffee hour, etc.  Counting is done in pairs and training is available for new people looking to serve the church in this way.

To be a part of this important ministry, contact Christine Gruner at 508-520-0675 or email cmgruner@verizon.net.

Lay Eucharistic Ministry
Lay Eucharistic Ministers are those that help our priest lead Sunday worship services.  Duties include administering the chalice during the Holy Eucharist, reading the psalm appointed for the day, and leading the Prayers of the People.

Training is available and for more information you may contact Wendy DiRico at layministry@redeemeranglicanchurch.org.

Lectors
Do you love to read and share God’s Word?  Perhaps this is the ministry for you.  Lectors read the appointed lessons during the Sunday worship services.

For more information, contact Wendy DiRico at layministry@redeemeranglicanchurch.org.

Music
The mission of the Redeemer Music Ministry is to lead praise and worship to our Lord, to encourage our brothers and sisters in their faith through scripture-based music, and to spread the Good News of salvation to all through Christian music.

Potter’s Clay
Potter's Clay was named by the suggestion of lead guitarist, Chip Pisani. The inspiration came from “Abba Father,” the group's unofficial song. “Abba, Abba Father, you are the potter, we are the clay.” The members wish to be the Father’s clay using music to bring his joy and grace to all. The Potter’s Clay contact is Chris Miller at 508-541-4602.

His Kingdom Singers
This old-time, country Gospel group sings at Redeemer on a regular basis each month. The Singers' repertoire includes a cappella music with an Appalachian flavor and traditional and contemporary Gospel music with acoustic guitar accompaniment. More information about this group? Contact Elwood Willey at 508-668-5690.

Outreach
The Anglican Church of the Redeemer Outreach Ministry focuses on the call in our Parish Prayer to “…..Boldly share and live out the Gospel in our daily lives with those in darkness and those in need…” This ministry is concerned with serving those in spiritual, physical, or social distress, whether locally or beyond our borders. In carrying out this ministry our goal is to meet the needs of our brothers and sisters and to encourage their discovery of and growth in the Christian faith. With our Lord’s guidance, we, His servants, are His hands and feet.

Do you feel called to be a part of this ministry? If you would like to join in Outreach activities, please contact Gail Willey at 508-668-5690. Outreach meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Wednesday and are open to interested parishioners.

Usher/Greeter Ministry

As an usher/greeter for the church, you are welcoming people to worship and are ambassadors for Christ.  Some of the duties include greeting people, handing out worship and song booklets, bringing the offering tray and collection baskets to the altar, and helping our priest greet people after the service handing out visitor cards when appropriate.

If you enjoy meeting and greeting people and would like more information about serving the Lord in this way, contact Dick Hynes at 508-528-5766 or email richard.hynes@hobartcorp.com.
