Our Beliefs/History

Who may worship with us?

You may!  We invite everyone to come and worship with us.  You don’t have to be a believing Christian to come to our services.  If you are a “seeker,” please feel welcome to seek God with us - we are all at different places on our journey.

If you want to know more about the Christian faith or to find out what we believe and how we try to live it out, we would love to meet you.  You matter at Redeemer and we welcome you!

Who We Are

The people of the Anglican Church of the Redeemer affirm The Jerusalem Declaration issued in June 2008 at the conclusion of the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON) – the Declaration is available at http://www.gafcon.org/news/gafcon_final_statement/

† The Anglican Church of the Redeemer is a community of Christians who seek to follow Jesus Christ and lead others into a saving relationship with Him.

† We practice the Christian Faith in the Anglican tradition.

† We read and study the Bible, through which God has declared the Good News of salvation from sin and the hope of eternal life.

† We celebrate Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion) each week. All baptized Christians may receive the “bread of life” and “cup of salvation”.

† We worship God with a blend of traditional and contemporary music.

† We will have a range of children and youth ministry offerings.

† We seek to serve God and our neighbors with a range of ministries – in Franklin and Norwood and beyond our local communities.

† We have prayer teams available at each service for everyone who wants to receive prayer for themselves, family members, friends or loved ones.

† We eagerly join with the parishes of the Anglican Church in North America in “reaching North America with the transforming love of Jesus Christ.”

Our History

The Anglican Church of the Redeemer was incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation on September 19, 2007 under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  A group of believers came together and after significant prayer and discussion made the decision to form the Anglican Church of the Redeemer to uphold the historic faith, proclaim the unchanging Gospel and continue to be aligned with other Anglican Christians who are like minded.  The parish has been meeting for regular Sunday worship since January 6, 2008 – The Feast of the Epiphany.

We meet at 31 Hayward Street in Franklin for worship, Sunday school and other ministries with Father Jack Potter, our rector.  We also have a second location at 71 Bond Street in Norwood where Fr. Alan Bouffard serves as the vicar.
