Outreach
The Anglican Church of the Redeemer Outreach Ministry focuses on the call in our Parish Prayer to “…..Boldly share and live out the Gospel in our daily lives with those in darkness and those in need…” This ministry is concerned with serving those in spiritual, physical, or social distress, whether locally or beyond our borders. In carrying out this ministry our goal is to meet the needs of our brothers and sisters and to encourage their discovery of and growth in the Christian faith. With our Lord’s guidance, we, His servants, are His hands and feet.
Ongoing Projects
Franklin Food Pantry
The Outreach Ministry collects non-perishable items at the weekly Sunday service. Please place the items in the designated basket located in the lobby. As you shop this week, please remember the people who need services provided by the Franklin Food Pantry.
Bibles Unbound
Bibles unbound is an ongoing Outreach Committee project which sends Bibles to Christians and non-Christians in other lands. Each month five Bibles are blessed at the close of an ACR service and then sent to individuals pre-selected by the Bibles Unbound organization, which is part of the Voice of the Martyrs. Currently our blessed Bibles are being sent to China. Since January, ACR participated in a program which sent over 10,000 Bibles to Indonesia. It is hard to comprehend that in many Middle Eastern, Asian, and North African countries, it is dangerous to hold a church service, share the Christian faith, or to own a Bible. Participating in this ministry to our persecuted brothers and sisters will make a difference. In the words of our Lord, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John: 8:32. For more information check out the website at www.biblesunbound.com.
In addition to our ongoing Outreach projects, we participate in monthly initiatives.
